I’m busy with my Father’s BUSINESS!!!

“His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast. When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know it; but supposing Him to have been in the company, they went a day’s journey, and sought Him among their relatives and acquaintances. So when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him. Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers. So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.” And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:41-50‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“So they began to persecute Jesus, because he had done this healing on a Sabbath. Jesus answered them, “My Father is always working, and I too must work.””

‭‭John‬ ‭5:16-17‬ ‭GNB‬‬

I’ve had my time in the world, seeking my own agenda and quite frankly, I was left feeling empty, discontent, angry…basically all of the feels!

God’s way is the best way and I know that sounds very cliché but this is what I know and not just what I have heard. Every time that I let go and leap out on faith, God always catches me. We serve a father who not only takes care of our needs (especially well) but loves to dazzles us with other pleasures. BUT knowing this about him, why is it that we’re so quick to forget how great of a father we have? Well, I’ve gotten to the point where I am just tired of wasting precious hours of worrying. All I wanna do is what God tells me to do. As I reflect over my life, I can think of many situations where if I would have trusted God and listened to the nudges of the Holy Spirit, I would have save myself not only time but stress and heartache in certain situations.

I listed two scriptures above because this is how I feel everything about my life now. Nothing is separate from my spiritual life…it’s all connected and if others can’t dig it, that’s OK but I’m still gonna do me. I am finally interested & eager to see the heights that God is going to take me and just the anticipation of what God is going to do is exciting and exhilarating to me!
