Let’s make chess move: Fix your crown & QUEEN ON!!!

LADIES POST!!! So did y’all know that I was on the Chess team? Of course you didn’t but that’s why I am telling you now LOL! I learned how to play in elementary school and have always enjoyed the game (even had the audacity to be pretty good at it!)

Anywho, if you speak to anyone that plays or knows the game, all will agree that the queen piece is a very important player in the game. Only the king and queen pieces can move in any direction but it is the queen that can move unlimited spaces at a time where the king can only move one block at a time. Now don’t get me wrong…the king is THE most important piece in the game because if he is captured it’s CHECK MATE…GAME OVER! No other piece has this power! Mind you, a strategy that is commonly used (and one that I use) is bringing out your queen slowly in the beginning in order for you to assess the playing field and then wreck havoc on your opponent with her once you have sensed their weaknesses.

Since this post is intended for women, of course I am going to lean into the queen piece! :0) I want to set the illustration up because I see a need for women to understand, embrace, and walk fully in their role. We are just like that queen chess piece…LIMITLESS!!! We can command our lives without fear or doubt. Just like the chess piece, we can move boldly in ANY direction that God sets before us! We can conquer ANY obstacle because we ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS!

In Psalm 94:19 NLT, “When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.” Let’s also remember 2 Timothy 1:7 AMP, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgement and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”

Don’t get me wrong…I do not want to put out there that I have not overcome but this is what I am currently working on in my own life. One thing that I am convinced of is that I am important, honored, and precious in God’s eyes and I have to conduct myself as such. I WILL walk boldly for Christ! I WILL not be ashamed of my past or my flaws because 2 Corinthians tells us that when I am weak, God is strong and his grace is sufficient for ALL of my mess. This is something that I wish that I could have seen earlier in my life but the good news is it’s not too late to see now. This is something that I see sooo many women lose sight of which is why I feel it necessary to impress on my girls to believe in who they are and whose they are!!! So here is the challenge: FIX YOUR CROWN & QUEEN ON!! Remember who you are AND whose you are! Let’s all believe and then act like the queens we are because we are apart of a royal priesthood and heirs with Christ!
